Limited Warranty
Truck-Lite Co., LLC (“Truck-Lite”) warrants to the original purchaser (“Customer”) of the new products manufactured and sold by Truck-Lite (the “Products”) that each Product will be free from manufacturing and materials defects starting on the date imprinted on each Product (the “Warranty Start Date”) for the applicable period identified in the Warranty Period Guide below (the “Limited Warranty”). The Limited Warranty is subject to exclusions and conditions outlined below.
This Limited Warranty is not transferable for any reason, including in the event the applicable Product is reinstalled on a vehicle other than the original installation vehicle, sold, traded, transferred, or otherwise disposed of in any manner by the original purchaser to another party.
Warranty Period Guide
The applicable Warranty period for each Product is identified by the corresponding warranty symbol in the catalog and on the Truck-Lite website.

If a Product does not have a specific warranty period symbol identified, the applicable warranty period for that Product is 1 year from the Warranty Start Date.
Certain Exclusions from Warranty
This Limited Warranty does not cover normal maintenance, service, or adjustments, nor does it cover damage to or defects in Products relating to:
a. Improper installation;
b. Any repair, replacement or alteration by a third party not approved in advance by Truck-Lite;
c. Use of wiring accessories not approved in advance by Truck-Lite;
d. Accident, alteration, modification, misuse, negligence, abuse, vandalism or physical damage;
e. Failure to care for, maintain, or use any Product inconsistent with the instruction manual, safety warnings, product labeling, datasheets, specification sheets and/or other installation, use, operation and technical documentation provided and/or published by Truck-Lite (collectively, “Product Documentation”);
f. Use in severe applications such as, but not limited to, buses, construction equipment and off-road vehicles;
g. Fire, explosion, implosion, flood, earthquake, lightning strike, acid rain, chemical fallout, catastrophic event, or other act of God or nature;
h. Exposure to excessive heat, moisture, other severe environmental conditions, or unintended uses and/or substances;
i. Exposure to chemicals, cleaners or other substances (other than cleaning agents specifically recommended in the Product Documentation);
j. Acts or omissions of any carrier delivering any Products;
k. Normal wear and tear; or
l. With respect to Series 50, Series 88, Series 99 and any other Truck-Lite harness system, improper installation, improper maintenance, failure to keep the integrity of the harness system intact, or usage of non-Truck-Lite approved lighting products and accessories.
Certain Additional Conditions of Warranty
In addition to the other exclusions, limitations, exceptions, qualifications and conditions set forth in this Limited Warranty, all of the following conditions must be met, or the Limited Warranty will be invalidated.
a. All Products, and all ancillary equipment, components and parts, must be installed in accordance with the Product Documentation.
b. Regular maintenance and service must be performed on all Products, in accordance with the Product Documentation.
c. Products must be put to their intended use, in accordance with the Product Documentation.
d. Replacement parts must be manufactured by Truck-Lite.
e. Customer must fully comply with Notice of Claims and Replacement Policy outlined below.
Exclusive Remedy
Customer’s sole and exclusive remedy, and Truck-Lite’s sole and exclusive liability and responsibility, under this Limited Warranty is the replacement of Products, subject to the terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty.
Notice of Claims and Replacement Policy
Claims under this Limited Warranty must be presented to and received by Truck-Lite within the Product’s applicable warranty period. The Customer must contact the Truck-Lite Regional Salesperson in your area or call Customer Service at 800-562-5012 to begin a warranty claim. Upon issuance of a RETURNED GOODS AUTHORIZATION NUMBER, Customer must return the Product, freight prepaid to Truck-Lite Co., LLC, 5340 Fryling Road, Suite 300, Erie, PA 16510 to the attention of: Warranty Administrator.
All Limited Warranty claims MUST be fully approved by Truck-Lite, in its sole discretion, prior to the commencement of any replacement work in respect of such claims. After a Truck-Lite representative inspects the applicable Product or otherwise assesses the problem, Truck-Lite will determine and take appropriate action (if any), in its sole discretion, to remedy the alleged problem. If the claim is for a manufacturing defect, Truck-Lite must be satisfied, in its sole discretion, that such Product was defective at the time it left Truck-Lite’s factory. Warranty coverage applies only to original equipment supplied by Truck-Lite.
Except as otherwise agreed by Truck-Lite, in writing in its sole discretion, Truck-Lite assumes no responsibility or liability for the expense incurred for removal or installation of product requiring service and/or repair or any other labor costs; or for the expense of shipping, packaging, or handling; travel; or for the handling of product returned to sender after necessary service or repair. Any Product covered under this Limited Warranty will be replaced with another like Product and will be sent directly to the Customer only. The Customer may request a written report on any Product submitted for warranty evaluation that is not covered under the respective Limited Warranty. Items received will not be returned.
Limitation of Liability
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY OF ANY KIND WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS AND SHALL BE IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN ANY MANNER RELATED TO ANY PRODUCTS, WHETHER ORAL, WRITTEN, OR ARISING BY COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES THAT EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON THE FACE HEREOF, AND NO DEALER, DISTRIBUTOR OR OTHER SUPPLIER OF PRODUCTS OR ANY OTHER PARTY HAS THE AUTHORITY TO MODIFY OR AMEND THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IN ANY RESPECT WITHOUT THE EXPRESS PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT OF TRUCK-LITE (WHICH TRUCK-LITE MAY WITHHOLD AT ANY TIME AND FOR ANY REASON IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION).
IN NO EVENT SHALL TRUCK-LITE BE LIABLE FOR ANY OTHER DAMAGE OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, WHETHER OR NOT SUCH DAMAGE WAS FORESEEABLE, AND EVEN IF INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, AND NOTWITHSTANDING THE FAILURE OF ANY AGREED OR OTHER REMEDY OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE, IN ALL CASES WHETHER AS THE RESULT OF OR BASED ON ACTUAL OR ALLEGED BREACH OF CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING ANY FORM OF NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LABOR OR EQUIPMENT REQUIRED TO REMOVE AND/OR REINSTALL ORIGINAL OR REPLACEMENT PRODUCT(S) OR PARTS, LOSS OF TIME, PROFITS, SALES OR REVENUES, LACK OR LOSS OF PRODUCTIVITY, INTEREST CHARGES OR COST OF CAPITAL, COST OF SUBSTITUTE EQUIPMENT, SYSTEMS, SERVICES OR DOWNTIME COSTS, DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY, DAMAGE TO OR LOSS OF USE OF PROPERTY OR EQUIPMENT, OR ANY INCONVENIENCE ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY OR ANY OBLIGATIONS HEREUNDER.
NO STATEMENT MADE BY ANY PERSON WITH RESPECT TO ANY PRODUCT SHALL CONSTITUTE A WARRANTY, BE RELIED UPON BY ANY CUSTOMER OR ANY OTHER PARTY, OR BE DEEMED PART OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY OR ANY SALE AGREEMENT BETWEEN TRUCK-LITE AND ANY CUSTOMER.
TRUCK-LITE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MODIFY OR DISCONTINUE THIS LIMITED WARRANTY AT ANY TIME AND FOR ANY REASON IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE, PROVIDED THAT ANY SUCH MODIFICATION OR DISCONTINUANCE WILL BE EFFECTIVE ONLY WITH RESPECT TO ANY PRODUCT PURCHASED AFTER SUCH MODIFICATION OR DISCONTINUANCE HAS OCCURRED. IN ADDITION, TRUCK-LITE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE ITS PRODUCTS (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THEIR DESIGN, MATERIAL COMPOSITION AND/OR COMPONENTS) FROM TIME TO TIME WITHOUT NOTICE AND WITH NO OBLIGATION TO MAINTAIN SPECIFIC SPARE PARTS OR TO MAKE CORRESPONDING CHANGES IN TRUCK-LITE’S PREVIOUSLY MANUFACTURED PRODUCTS.

Limited Warranties & Procedures
Truck-Lite extends a Limited Warranty to the original purchaser that the warranted products defined below are free from defects in workmanship and/or materials only, whereby Truck-Lite will replace any warranted product to the original consumer/purchaser if the product fails because of defect due to workmanship and/or materials within the limited warranty period from the date imprinted on the product. Each Limited Warranty, as applicable, is not transferable and applies to the original installation of the Truck-Lite product. To be eligible for Limited Warranty protection the Truck-Lite products must remain intact, free from physical abuse, and not subject to improper installation. The Limited Warranty of the lamp products applies to 12-volt lamps only. This offer does not constitute in any way a product guarantee and Truck-Lite does not hereby assume any obligation of any kind whatsoever beyond sending a free replacement product. Unless expressly agreed to in writing by Truck-Lite, Truck-Lite does not warrant its products as to their fitness for any special use or function.
Truck-Lite believes our products should provide good service under proper operating conditions. In view of this, many of our products have a Limited Warranty for special periods of time, based on product date. These Limited Warranties are as follows:
- Super 40 series, 4” round sealed lamps (12 volt only) have a thirty-six (36) month limited warranty.
- Model 40 series, 4” round sealed lamps (12 volt only) have a twenty-four (24) month limited warranty.
- Super 10 series, 2-1/2” round sealed lamps (12 volt only) have a twenty-four (24) month limited warranty.
- Super 21 series, rectangular sealed lamps (12 volt only) have a twenty-four (24) month limited warranty.
- Super 45 series, rectangular stop/turn/tail sealed lamps (12 volt only) have a twenty-four (24) month limited warranty.
- Super 60 series, oval stop/turn/tail sealed lamps (12 volt only) have a twenty-four (24) month limited warranty.
- Truck-Lite LED series lamps, see LED Limited Lifetime Lamp Warranty.
- Signal-Stat LED series, see Signal-Stat LED Series Lamp Warranty.
- Harness limited warranty, see Harness Warranty.
- Truck-Lite LED series lamps and 88 series harness, see LED Limited Lifetime Lamp and Harness System Warranty.
Signal-Stat LED Series Lamp Warranty
Truck-Lite extends a Limited 2-Year Warranty to the original purchaser that the Signal-Stat Sealed LED lamp is free from defects in workmanship and/or materials only. Truck-Lite will replace any Sealed LED Lamp to the original consumer/purchaser, if the lamp fails due to defects in workmanship and/or materials only.
The LED Limited 2-Year Warranty does not apply to severe applications such as buses, construction equipment and off-road vehicles. These applications are example only and are not all inclusive of each excluded application. Many chemicals and/or cleaners are incompatible with Signal-Stat sealed LED products. The LED 2-Year Warranty does not apply to damage associated with incompatible chemicals or cleaners. Not subject to improper installation or modification and must be used only with Truck-Lite approved wiring accessories. Any violation of these conditions will void this LED 2-Year Lamp Warranty.
This LED 2-Year Lamp Warranty is not transferable and applies to the original installation of the Signal-Stat Sealed LED lamp for as long as the original consumer/purchaser owns the vehicle.
Truck-Lite Limited Lifetime LED & Truck-Lite Harness Systems Warranty
Truck-Lite extends a Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original purchaser that the Truck-Lite Sealed LED lamp is free from defects in workmanship and/or materials only. Truck-Lite will replace any Sealed LED Lamp to the original consumer/purchaser, if the lamp fails due to defects in workmanship and/or materials only. The led limited lifetime lamp warranty does not apply to severe applications such as buses, construction equipment and off-road vehicles. These applications are examples only and are not all inclusive of each excluded applications. Many chemicals and/or cleaners are incompatible with Truck-Lite Sealed LED products. The Truck-Lite LED Limited Lifetime Lamp Warranty does not apply to damage associated with incompatible chemicals or cleaners. However, this Truck-Lite LED Limited Lifetime Lamp Warranty will be extended to include exposure to chemicals and/or cleaners associated with use ONLY if Truck-Lite Sealed LED lamps are purchased with the optional “Diamond Shell™” hard coating. Truck-Lite Sealed LED lamps are to remain intact, free from physical abuse, not subject to improper installation or modification and must be used only with truck-lite approved wiring accessories. any violation of these conditions will void this led limited lifetime lamp warranty.
This Truck-Lite LED Limited Lifetime Lamp Warranty is not transferable and applies to the ORIGINAL INSTALLATION of the Truck-Lite Sealed LED lamp for as long as the original consumer/ purchaser owns the vehicle (lifetime).
Truck-Lite Sealed LED lamps are designed to give the purchaser a wide variety of plug/connection options. Each plug/connection option offers different performance characteristics. Therefore, Truck-Lite Sealed LED lamps have a Limited Lifetime Warranty with the following two exceptions:
- Sealed LED lamps using standard bullet terminal/receptacle type connections integral to the lamp housing will have a three (3) year Limited Warranty.
- Sealed LED lamps, which are hardwired and use standard bullet terminal/receptacle type connections have a limited lifetime warranty on the lamp. Connector failure, however, is covered by a three (3) year Limited Warranty.
- Sealed LED lamps noted with a specific year warranty.
Truck-Lite Limited Harness Warranty
To be eligible for this Limited Harness Warranty protection the Series 50 or Series 88 harness system must have been properly installed, properly maintained, and the integrity of thttps://mcstaging.rigidindustries.com.c.q4vzhfdbl3fx2.dev.ent.magento.cloud/media/wysiwyg/he system must remain intact. series 50 or series 88 harness systems must be used only with truck-lite approved lighting products and accessories. use of unapproved lighting products and accessories will void this limited harness warranty.
Truck-Lite extends a Limited Harness Warranty to the original consumer/ purchaser that the Truck-Lite Series 50 and Series 88 harness systems are free from defects in workmanship and/or materials only. Truck-Lite will replace any Series 50 or Series 88 harness to the original consumer/ purchaser, if the product fails because of defects due to workmanship and/or materials only within five (5) years from the date of purchase of the product. This Limited Harness Warranty is not transferable and applies to the original installation of the product.
Truck-Lite Limited Lifetime LED & Truck-Lite Harness Systems Warranty
Truck-Lite extends a limited lifetime led lamp and harness systems warranty that Lighting Systems featuring Truck-Lite Series 88 harness and Truck-Lite Sealed LED lamps equipped with Fit ’N Forget connections are free from defects in workmanship and/or materials only. Truck-Lite will replace defective Series 88 harness components and LED lamps with Fit ’N Forget connections to the original consumer/purchaser, if the product fails due to defects in workmanship or materials. This Limited Lifetime LED Lamp and Harness Systems Warranty applies to the original installation of the product only. This Limited Lifetime LED Lamp and Harness Systems Warranty extends for as long as the original consumer/purchaser owns the vehicle.
Many chemicals and/or cleaners are incompatible with Truck-Lite Sealed LED products. This Truck-Lite Limited Lifetime LED Lamp and Truck-Lite Harness Systems Warranty does not apply to damage associated with the use of incompatible chemicals or cleaners (Questions as to compatibility of specific materials should be directed to the manufacturer and/or the Truck-Lite Corporate Laboratory). However, this Truck-Lite Limited Lifetime LED Lamp and Truck-Lite Harness Systems Warranty will apply and include exposure to chemical/cleaners if Truck-Lite Sealed LED lamps are purchased with “Diamond Shell™” hard coating.
Truck-Lite Series 88 harness components and Truck-Lite Sealed LED lamps are to be properly installed, remain intact, free from physical abuse, and not subject to modification. any violation of these conditions will void this limited lifetime led lamp and harness systems warranty. The Truck-Lite Limited Lifetime LED Lamp and Harness Systems Warranty Program does not constitute, in any way, a product guarantee, and Truck-Lite does not assume any obligations of any kind whatsoever beyond sending a free replacement of the product covered by the Limited Lifetime LED Lamp and Harness Systems Warranty.
In no event shall Truck-Lite be liable for incidental or consequential damages, nor shall Truck-Lite’s liability for any claims or damage arising out of or connected with this Limited Lifetime LED Lamp and Harness Systems Warranty or the manufacture, sales, delivery or use of the products with which this Limited Lifetime LED Lamp and Harness Systems Warranty is concerned exceed the purchase price of the products.
There are no warranties, expressed or implied (including any warranty of merchantability or fitness), which extend beyond this warranty. The loss of use of the product, loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss, incidental or consequential damages are not covered. The manufacturer reserves the right to change the design of the product without assuming any obligation to modify any product previously manufactured or to replace warranted product other than with redesigned product.
Basic Product Warranty
All other products in our catalog may be eligible for a replacement if the failure is deemed to be due to a failure in either material or workmanship within one year of purchase. The replacement of defective products is made at the discretion of Truck-Lite Co., Inc. and is based on the results of an analysis of the returned products by our warranty administrator.
Products submitted for Limited Warranty consideration may be inspected by our laboratory. Replacement will be based upon Truck-Lite uniform limited warranty procedure and/or the result of the laboratory evaluation. Charges for damages and/or labor costs cannot be accepted by Truck-Lite Co., LLC. We believe our products should provide good service under proper operating conditions, and this attitude will be reflected in our consideration of items returned for examination.
The Truck-Lite Limited Warranty Program does not constitute, in any way, a product guarantee, and Truck-Lite does not hereby assume any obligations of any kind whatsoever beyond sending a free replacement of the product.
There are no warranties, expressed or implied (including any warranty of merchantability or fitness), which extend beyond this Limited Warranty. The loss of use of the product, loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss, incidental or consequential damages are not covered. The manufacturer reserves the right to change the design of the product without assuming any obligation to modify any product previously manufactured or to replace warranted product other than with redesigned product.
This Limited Warranty gives you special legal rights. You may also have other rights from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. Therefore, the above limitation(s) or exclusion(s) may not apply to you.
Product Replacement
For distribution and original equipment manufacturers, product replacement is subject to applicable written terms and conditions. For purchasers of Truck-Lite products who are not distributors or original equipment manufacturers, please contact the point of purchase for product replacement information.
Warning Symbols
Lighting products generate heat! Care should be taken to avoid contact with flammable material. Designed to conform to applicable Federal Safety Standards. Meets applicable SAE Standards and US DOT Requirements.
Any unauthorized substitution or modification to products or packaging manufactured or sold by Truck-Lite could cause bodily injury or affect the performance and safe operation of the product. Truck-Lite Co., LLC. shall not be liable for personal injury or property damages caused by unauthorized substitutions or modifications.
Truck-Lite products do not place a person at risk by exposure to chemicals and can be properly disposed of in an approved landfill.
LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) use less current than incandescent products and may affect the proper operation of other electronic devices or systems on the vehicle. Always confirm proper operations and/or verify the LED Lighting products compatibility with the vehicle manufacturer.
